Motorcycle Helmet quick help?
i have a snowmobiling Modular 2 helment and I was wondering if that helmet would also work for on the road and be worn on a motorcycle. Can some snowmobile helmets be worn while riding a motorcycle if there DOT approved? i also have another helmet is not a modular that i could wear if not the modular.

First, you didn't specify what brand of "Modular 2" helmet you own. The ones from AGV and Ski-Doo should be OK for motorcycle riding as long as they have vents, and have DOT stickers on them. Try it and see. If it's uncomfortable, go hunting for a new helmet.
Second, there is no such thing as a "DOT approved" helmet - the DOT has no authority to "approve" helmets (or anything else). Manufacturers self-certify that they think the helmets might pass FMVS 218 specifications:

If the manufacturer puts a DOT sticker on a helmet, that doesn't actually mean the helmet will pass FMVSS 218 specifications. Every year around 40% to 45% of the helmets randomly tested *fail* the tests. Here's the most recent lists of helmets that were actually tested, and the results (note that only a few helmets are tested every year):

Finally, if a helmet does get tested, and if it fails, it can take 5 years or more to force the manufacturer to recall the helmet:
