Is it a sign of disrespect if a family member stole a Japanese flag off the body of a dead WWII soldier?

My grandfather was a soldier in World War II and my dad told me he took a flag, with signatures on it, off of a dead soldiers body. I'm not sure if he still has it but I was wondering if to the Japanese family of that soldier would it be considered a sign of disrespect?
I looked up the title of the flag...I got Hinomaru Yosegaki (I'm not sure if this is the correct term but its tied to the signed Japanese flag part)

I think the only disrespect would be killing them in the first place.

Flags have always been symbolic on the battlefield and it's kind of expected that the losing side will lose their flags. Out of everything you can steal from a dead body, simply taking their flag is probably the least disrespective option. If he burned the flag, that could probably be considered a little disrespective, but keeping it is hard to say that it's bad. It all really comes down to why he took it in the first place.

How Pole Signs Benefit Business

What is with all the pole signs you see these days around businesses? It might be those businesses see that signs like that pay big dividends when they are outside a business or a special event. By using a pole sign, you can get your message out to your potential customers and clients in a clear way. Sound too simple? It might be, but how about an explanation how a pole sign can benefit your business?

Why Choose These Pole Signs?

There are a few specific reasons why businesses have begun to use pole signs and flags. First, they are easy to put around your businesses. They have their own stands, which hold the pole, flag and sign. They are easily portable, so they can be placed on your property where you want them; the flags themselves work for businesses because the colors stand out and nab the eye of customers. The flags also catch the wind, which can catch a customer’s eye. And don’t worry about the price. These pole signs and flags are a good investment and won’t break your business’ bank.

Poles To Invest In

There are a lot of different choices out there for you if you are interested in what a pole sign can do for your business. Here are some options:

• Dori pole signs – One of the simplest solutions are easy to put together and work just about anywhere. You just put the pole in the stand and stand back.

Telescoping pole signs – Use these when you are looking for movement to benefit you. The breeze will move these around and get a lot of notice from anyone near your business.

Pole flags – If you want to tell customers where they need to do to get a best deal or attend the even you are promoting, use these. After everything is over, they are simple to remove.

Ease of Use Is Important

Why bother with pole signs? Aren’t they too non-traditional for getting the word out about a business? Won’t people give them a look, especially next to a normal sign? Exactly! That is what you are looking for out of your signage. You want to be unique and stand out. Something different is going to stick with your customers. They won’t forget what you did. With the ease of putting them together, you can put these signs up again and again and really drill your message home. When they start to expect the signs they are going to see from you, it’s the start of a relationship between you and the customer. What’s after that? Business.

I came upon your blog from another site–through a video reposted. I LOVE your blog & can't wait to keep up with it! I admire the way you handled the young man carrying the 'gay alien' sign. You kept him thinking..well..to the best he could anyway–but I love how you kept your cool-you actually sounded very friendly.

I also enjoyed the clever way you presented this post. I needed the laugh. I disagree with this 'Franky' noter–the way he referred to “Conservatives” & “the Jesus flag” signals me he's of the “Left” persuasion. He uses typical tactics pulling the Christianity claim. You are right, Jesus called out the den of thieves & liars. Keep up the great work!

I can't wait to tell my two sons about your blog! I think you might have a couple of fans!
