A week ago, I had a wreck on my atv. My arm got pinned in between the handle bar and the ground and upon flipping the atv back on it's wheels, my arm immediatley had a blue horizontal streak across my arm. Later it bruised and my neighbor, an RN, told me that it was a hematoma and to make sure that I iced it. Now a week later a hard lump going horizontally across my arm in the same pattern of the bruise has appeared. What precautions or steps should I take to help this knot go away? It is about an inch in diameter and you can still see the bruise on my arm it's turned yellow in the middle and has a purple outline shaped like a waterfall, like blood ran down in my arm until it stopped. How much longer should I wait before seeing a doctor if the knot doesn't go away? That's the only thing i'm worried about is the knot. Thanks for your help.
For a hematoma the rule of thumb is ice the first 24 hours and moist heat thereafter. If you are certain it is not hot, swollen or broken attempt the moist heat - (Wet towel in the microwave on a lower setting.) If you have pain along with the other symptoms please notify the dr immediately! Otherwise, the reabsorbtion of the blood under the skin which is called a "hematoma" just takes time......

what can use to fix m atv tire, it s a very small hole and the air escapes from there,?
what can i buy to repair it ?
what is it called, ?
where can i buy it ?
how much is it ?
i remember that my dad went to get his car fixed and he found out there was a nail stuck right in his tire s the mechanic, just put this yellow sticky stuff and then there was no hole
Go to any motorcycle shop or walmart and get some of that GREEN sealer. It's designed to seal atv tires and works well. I've used it many times, and I keep a couple bottles of it handy at all times when I'm out in the desert.
Some guys put some in ALL their tires with it to PREVENT leaks in the desert.
Don't use the products designed for autos. They not only don't work on CARS, but they don't work on anything else either.
I have an 02 Polaris Edge XC 800 with M10 suspension. its a god sled but it tops out at about 80 mph and puts out about 7.5 rpm. i think it should be able to go allot faster and be more powerful, but im not sure what to do about it. my friend has an 02 edge xc 600 and his blows mine away. I just feel that since its an 800 it should go allot faster than 80. what could i do?
Try cleaning out the carbs and making sure the slids go all the way up, othere than that there isnt much you can do, make sure you are running premium gas in it and running good brand name oil.
I recently bought this sled (3-4 months ago) and have enjoyed in immensely. The other day I was out playing around with a buddy, and was simply riding on a nice trail when I heard a soft click and a simultaneous shift in the sled (almost unnoticeable). I didn't hit anything and was maybe going 10-20 miles an hour. After though, there is a very noticeable vibration, the power in the sled does not seem to have changed. It runs fine with the exception of the vibration. I know nothing about snowmobiles, anyone have any ideas as to what it could be? Is this something I could maybe fix on my own? Thanks for the help.
I would suspect something in the clutch assembly. My co worker is an avid sled racer and said something just the other day about the gear box and clutch assemblies being weak spots on Polaris. He is an Arctic Cat guy so maybe he is a little jaded. lol. Good luck.
Yamaha Motorcycle Snowmobile What do you use to keep a motorcycle seat looking good?
I've got a 1987 Yamaha bike, and I want to keep the seat looking as good as it does now, but I dont want to slippidy slide all over it. Oh yeah, its vinyl! I know from snowmobiles that Armor All will cause the slippping. Any help out there?
Snowmobile Atv Should I buy an ATV or a snowmobile?
I live in Wisconsin and some of my friends have ATV's and some have snowmobiles.
From my experience here in Alaska, I have a longer usable season for the ATV and it is also more versatile than a snowmobile. I can cross a two foot deep stream with the ATV whether it is frozen or not. Not so with the snowmobile. My ATV will handle the snow a WHOLE lot better than my snowmobile will handle the dirt. My hunting seasons are "mostly" snowless up here so I can hunt better and longer with the ATV than the snowmobile. My ATV (a JOYNER-TROOPER side by side) is rated for and capable of carrying a 750 pound load and then trailering another 1,500 pound load behind that. I don't know of any snowmobile with that capacity. If you can afford it, buy one of each. But if you have to choose between one or the other, I'll take the ATV every time.

Can you clean an ATV drive belt with anything? I have one that has grease on it.?
It is a 2000 Yamaha Grizzly 600 with automatic transmission. It uses a kevlar belt like a snowmobile and I wondered if you could use a cleaner to get the grease off of it. I also assume that the grease is in the belt too so I would need something to remove the grease from the belt. Thanks!
use a can of brake cleaner,it wont leave any kind of residue.
