I recently purchased a 3/4 length floral coat which is a mix of navy, green, white and black print. The floral print is quite large and I just wondered what were the rules of wearing a coat like this? Should you keep the rest of your outfit plain and simple? I mainly wear dresses and just wondered what colours and styles I should be going for?
Technical Merino Yosemite early December hiking, need clothing game plan?
I will be hiking the first week of December with a school group in Yosemite. It is predicted to be 38F at most, a bit colder than I normally deal with. I've got silk underwear for a first layer, then a technical t-shirt. I am unsure about the pants. Last time I had silk, then jeans, I don't think that will cut it this time. Would silk and then thick polartec be too much for hiking? We usually head up the falls trail as the most strenuous, mostly the rest will be gentle hikes. I've got merino socks and good boots.
Should I just get my kids cheap ski bibs to keep them warm?
Well, Yosemite just got a big dump of snow on it so be prepared for freezing temps all around.
Definitely dress in layers you can remove as you hike along. Silk long johns are a great first layer, they insulate well and breathe well too. A polar tec jacket layered under a heavier coat is also a good choice. Skip the cotton jeans go with a synthetic made with goretex or other waterproof material that breathes. Cotton is a sponge, poorly insulates and weighs a ton when wet. Under Armor is another well known brand of winter under-ware that breathes really well here is a link to a great supplier, REI, of winter wear.

Bibs Womens I lost a bet to the wife and I have to decide where I am going to wear the clothes I have to wear in public?
I lost a bet on the Monday night football game and now I must wear a pair of pink capri-length bib overalls along with a pink shirt and pink converse all star shoes, and a womens pink ball-cap. The deal was I had to go out in public in this. What are some places to go?
Hit up a fast food restaurant. Better yet, go to Chili's or Red Robin or a place like that.
You could simply go to a movie. It's dark and you can sit in the back. That is, if you're trying to avoid people seeing you.

Team Fleece Men Looking for a Sports Illustrated Commercial from a couple years back...?
OK...here´s my obscure sports question of the day:
My mother is a huge Green Bay Packer fan. A couple years ago, S.I. ran a television promo introducing a team fleece and other offers for your favorite sports team if you subscribed to S.I. In the commercial, the narrator says: ¨Pick a team - any team!¨ This statement is followed by cries of ¨two loyal, passionate fans yelling ¨Chargers!¨ and ¨49ers!¨, and a skinny man yelling ¨GO PACK GO!¨ The last guy looks pretty goofy, which is why I rib my mother nonstop. If there is any online video of this on Youtube or something similar, I would be exuberant to find it. Once again, I know this question is way out there - but it would mean a ton to me. Thanks for taking the time to read this, and any help would be greatly appreciated.
FC United - deserve mass support - what do you think ?
What a breath of fresh air to here the spokesperson for FC United - the football team for the fans. At last someone to stick it up the money grabbing - fleece the fans - big teams. I am a big boxing fan and went to every Frank Bruno fight parting with my cash to turn up and support him or whatch him on BBC - then when he was a big name SKY Tv bought the rights and the only way to see Franks "away" fights on Tv was if you parted with £14 viewing fee !! I stopped supporting him on principle. The same with football - the mega rich business men have ruined the game.
Thank God for FC united - I wish them well.
The big teams could not give a flying kite for the fans because they rip them off in every way possible.
Could'nt agree more, fan owned teams are the way forward. It's great to be able to go to the game knowing that you are not being ripped off because you own the club. The atmosphere at fans owned clubs is better than sugar daddy owned equivalents, and everything about the clubs is better. Although FC United are not my team, I like to see them do well as well as the other proffesional fan owned team, AFC Wimbledon.
