My date is wearing an orange dress to our school's semi formal and i have absolutely no idea what kind of tie-dress shirt combo would look nice and match. Please keep in mind i am most likely wearing black dress pants and a black suit jacket considering that's what i have... ok thanks for taking that time.

What is the purpose of a tank protector?


The only thing I can come up with is that it prevents things like the zipper from your jacket from scratching up the tank when you lean on it.

However, I don't want to buy one and then if I decide to sell the bike or take off the protector my tank looks like this:

So, what is the purpose of a tank protector and should I get one?

The name says it all. You are also correct in what it does. I at one time almost purchased a bike that had the vinyl bra that looks like imitation leather. I think they are worse than the style shown in your pic. The owner of the bike put this on thinking it looked cool. In time it collected dirt and debris underneath the bra. The wind and vibration caused it to rub on paint job. It left all kinds of scratches and swirls.
