Hello. After riding a belt driven ATV (Polaris Sportsman 500) for about an hour, there is a strange noise coming from the belt cover area. It seems as though plastic is grading against something else inside. This is a very difficult problem to address but the sound can be described as a rock bouncing around the belt cover area. This noise only occurs when a little throttle is pushed in. Idling is fine, performance does not seem to be affected. Any sugestions on what this could be? And could this serve potential harm to the engine? Thank you!
i dont think it will damage the engine .. it might hurt your torque converter if somthing is coming loose, your best bet is to take the cover off that goes over the belt, i dont own a sportsman but i doubt its more then 8 bolts holding it on, being you have to replace the belt every few months anyways , might just need a new belt the old one could be torn up

Do not turbocharge a high compression engine with lots of miles on it. The motor will KABOOM! Turbo KIT is just a kit than you will have to reengineer the entire car to accept boost more power and heat generated. A great way to find the weekness of your powertrain. Front wheel drive cars with over 250 hp tend to torque steer and when boost hits that can pull the car right off the road. Maxima automatic trans cannot take much more than 300 hp.
