Can jewish people believe or sing songs about Frosty the snow man or Rudolph the red nosed reindeer?
I'm only 13 but I am very interested in becoming Jewish. And im just asking some questions about the Jewish people and i have just discovered that there are even some questions that Google can't answer.
The first question seems to be where can you find some valid information on Judaism. The internet is filled with an abundance of sites. Aish.com is my favorite and a great book is "The Jewish Book of Why" by Alfred J. Kolatch. There is also .com.
You can actually "ask a Rabbi" online at www.asktherabbi.org., http://www.urj.org/ask/and http://www.aish.com/atr/s/
As far as whether is sing "Frosty" or "Rudolph" that is a personal choice. Incidentally, "Frosty" and many other Christmas songs were actually written by Jews. Some Christians actually blame such songs for making Christmas more generic and less religious.
More important than worrying about what songs to sing is to continue to keep an open mind and wherever you end up, explore the universe--it's a great place to be!
Snow Fox If MSNBC can report accurately on Ted Kennedy's condition, why didn't Fox News report the truth on Tony Snow?
Seems all the other news outlets such as MSNBC report the news regarding people's health conditions.
Why did fox news cover very little on Tim Russert?
Why did they lie and say Tony Snow was doing fine?
Meanwhile, all the other news outlets seem to reporting what is actually happening. Every day, MSNBC gives an update on Ted Kennedy.
Why couldn't Fox News do that for their man Tony Snow?
How often do you watch Fox News? Daily? Weekly?
How do you KNOW what you say is true? You are generalizing, kind sir.
How can Fox News be called a news organiazion whe they are clearly the propaganda branch of the white house?
Example 1. Fox commenator Tony Snow becomming White House Spokesman. Example 2. When the Republician Mark Foley broke, Fox was showing a clip of him and his name read Mark Foley (D) [for Democrat] Congressman, FL.
"In February 2003, a Florida Court of Appeals unanimously agreed with an assertion by FOX News that there is no rule against distorting or falsifying the news in the United States."
Snowmobile Snow How much snow/ice must be on the ground to use a snowmobile?
I find my self getting snowed in all the time and my VW can't handle the snow. I still need to get to work on most days i'm snowed in.
Snowmobiles use snow to lubricate the hyfax, which are long plastic strips the track pushes against. If there isn't enough snow or you are riding on ice, you'll wear them out very quickly. You also need to take into consideration the steering. The skis are designed to turn in snow and don't like pavement at all. Roads wear the skegs out rather quickly and carbide gets expensive. If you have three inches of wet snow you shouldn't have a problem riding your sled if the ground is frozen as well. If you have three inches of powder, you'll most likely sink right through to the ground. If you have enough snow that your VW gets stuck frequently, then you'll have enough snow to snowmobile.
what is the least amount of snow it is safe to snowmobile on?
snowmobiles can literly go on anything, even regualr grass to water but what it would be safest minimum?
id say 3 inches depending on the terrain
if its rocky then 6 inches
Snowmobile Snow How deep does snow need to be to snowmobile?
Ensure that the ground is at least a few feet deep and frozen solid, so that you may run the snowmobile with pleasure. But if it were I, I would prefer to run my snowmobile on designated trails, so that I may freely drive without worry of falling through. Also be aware of the other hazards while operating a snowmobile (crashing, for example). Also check the terrain of the area where you plan to snowmobile.
