Jarvis is the English form of Gervasius, a 4th century saint of whom little is known. A famous person with this name is Jarvis Cocker, the lead singer of the band Pulp.
Kenelm is an Old English name meaning "brave helmet". The name of an Anglo-Saxon saint, it was also held by Sir Kenelm Digby in the 17th century; an eccentric intellectual who invented the modern wine bottle.

Which Greek mythological character should I choose?
My teacher is making us do a project where we dress up as a Greek mythological character, and we have to do a really interesting presentation on them (-.-) Let's just say I'm not excited, but I've narrowed it down to two characters : Hebe (the goddess of youth..she is also a cupbearer) and Ares (the God of war). For Hebe I was kind of thinking that I could bring in cups of candies or something, but last year she said someone already brought cups of wine for the goddess of wine (I forgot her name...it started with a D, though). And for Ares, I was thinking that I could put on my soccer shin guards, and maybe find some elbow pads and a helmet, so that I can look like a warrior.
If you were in my class, which presentation would you want to see. Or, if you were in my shoes and you hated giving presentations, which one do you think would be best to do?
If I was in your class I would rather see Ares.
If I was you I would rather be Hebe.
Its all up to you though. Which do you like more? Which one is more like you? Youthful or you like wars?
For Hebe you can do what you did and maybe bring in little toys or something youthful. Think! There are so many things you can do with Hebe.
Good idea for Ares. Stick with that if you'll do him.

Why do wine bottles have a large indent in the bottom?
Wine bottles are not flat on the bottom. My wife says it is so that the wine steward can put his thumb in there and pour with one hand.
That indent is called a punt and in Champagne bottles it is necessary to better distribute the high pressure throughout the bottle. However on standard bottles it adds stability (though not strictly necessary) and yes, many wine service people use it to poor wine but although it looks fancy, I find it a bit ungainly to do it that way.
The reason it was there originally goes back to when bottles were hand blown. The bottom would be the last part shaped and wherever the blowpipe was taken out, there would be a rough spot. If a bottle were to then be slid across an aristocrats fine table, it would scratch the wood. So the glass-makers figured out they could push the middle of the bottom up and then take away the blowpipe thus hiding that inevitable rough spot.
