i am 14 years old and i just sold my crf250r because of the cost to maintain a 4 stroke. i want to get a yamaha 2 stroke and im stuck on what to get "yz125 or yz250". i felt very comfortable on my 250 and i have ridden my friends rmz450 a handful times. im about 6 foot 2 inches and 165 pounds and i want to race in the spring in the 125 youth c class. but iv heard that 125's wouldnt be good for me because coming off of a 250f and my size. so i looked into the yz250 but i have no idea what the race classes are like for 450f/250 2t.
Bottom line is would the 125 be too small, and is the 250 worth it
yea go with the 250. if ur that big (tall) at that age it would be the perfect bike. if u want to race go with the yamaha or the kawasaki. those r the 2 best racing bikes. if u get the regular yz250 then it would be a 2 stroke and it would have alot of kick when u start it. the yz250f is a 4 stroke, more dependable at high altitudes and it has to be the best 250 4 stroke ever.

yamaha 50cc youth dirt bike?
My son has a yamaha 50cc youth dirt bike. One day while he was riding the gas got stuck wide open. I tried to fix it but no luck. ANY SUGGESTIONS????
Find where the throttle cable joins the carb. twist the throttle. does the other end of cable move ? if it doesn't you have a broken or jammed cable. If it does, does the arm return when you let go of the throttle . If not, is there a return spring attached This spring is what makes the throttle close again these often break or come loose. If not one of these the problem is inside the carb.
