Team Pants
Dance team pants problems...ughh...?
Okay, so for our dance team at school, we have to wear these really (and I mean really) tight dance pants things. I'm always the last girl out of the locker room cause I need to struggle with them for like five minutes to get them on and even then, they don't feel like there all the way on and it's really ******* annoying grrr... They're the right size too and I've gone up a size and still the same problem. So I'm thinking of going to a last resort and smothering lotion on my legs to try and get those things on faster. Do you think this will work or will it just make a mess? A friend also suggested wearing pantyhose under my jeans during the day and using those to help the dance pants slide on easier.
I would recommend you use unscented powder (sparingly) and definitely NOT pantyhose! I'm a cheerleader, too, and one of our costumes a few years back had really tight stretch pants like you're describing and a handful of us had trouble with them, just like you. One girl's mother recommended we try pantyhose, so we did.
Well, it was an embarrassing disaster! The pants went on a lot easier, but once we got moving a lot the waist band moved just barely enough to lose contact with our skin and it didn't grip the pantyhose very well at all! It wasn't really too bad at first, but once a good portion of the waistband was on the pantyhose it was over! It became a chore to keep them up enough to keep us decent!
I tried some unscented powder at the next day's practice & that worked a LOT better!
